Ponce de Leon Springs

02 July 2016

A little gem most have never heard of.

Not to be confused with De Leon Springs (the one with the pancakes), Ponce de Leon is a cute little spring about an hour and a half from Tallahassee, in the panhandle.

The water is a gorgeous blue-green and it is semi-developed, so you feel like you’re in nature but there’s also bathrooms, picnic tables and a platform to jump off of. The perfect mix. The only downside of this spring is the size. It is quite small, but I think that adds to it’s charm.

I brought my float, per usual, but the water is extremely shallow so you don’t even need one. It was a little crowded, but that was expected considering it’s Fourth of July weekend. I think the pictures will speak for themselves on convincing you to adventure there.
